Barry Downes - President and Founder

Barry Downes is the Founder and President of FeedHenry and has worked in the IT and Telecoms Industry for over 20 years. Over the course of his career, Barry has held executive positions in product development in the USA and Europe. Today, Barry is the Executive Director of the “Innovation and Commercial” division for TSSG, one of the leading telecoms R&D centers worldwide. He is also the Executive Director of the Centre for Converged Services (3CS), a specialised applied research centre focusing on convergence technologies and services. In this role Barry, built and guided the organization that has taken FeedHenry from a research concept through to a fully developed business with a mature live operational platform, key significant customer wins and generating revenue. Barry is a serial academic entrepreneur and has over the past five years with the TSSG and 3CS created 12 new start-ups. In 2007, he accepted the Enterprise Ireland Commercialization Award for Informatics for TSSG. Barry holds a BSc. in Applied Computing from WIT and an MBA from Smurfit (UCD).

Cathal McGloin - CEO

Cathal is CEO of FeedHenry and is leading the drive to become the largest provider of business apps for smartphones and social media worldwide. Cathal is based in the US where he spends about half his time with the remainder spent in Europe meeting customers and partners. From 2005 to the end of 2009 Cathal was President of Arantech Inc., the North American subsidiary of Aran Technologies Ltd., a company specializing in CEM for the telecoms industry which was acquired in 2009. Prior to this, he was Founder and CEO of Performix Technologies, another Irish technology company focused on the area of Performance Management solutions, and sold in 2005. He has served on the boards of several technology start-ups and is a member of the North American Advisory Board of the Michael Smurfit Business School. Cathal holds an MBA from the Smurfit Business School and a BE from UCD.

Richard Rodger - CTO

Prior to working with FeedHenry, Richard Roger was CEO and Founder of Ricebridge Software a successful micro-ISV. Richard joined TSSG to pursue opportunities available in the telecoms domain, taking on the role of CTO in the TSSG spinout IMS-Stream, Richard holds honors degrees in Mathematics and Philosophy from Trinity College Dublin, and Computer Science from Waterford Institute of Technology.

John Frizelle - Chief Architect

John has over 8 years experience in high volume / high reliability software development. He has been working with FeedHenry since January 2008, initially as a Senior Software Engineer, and more recently as the Chief Architect. John holds a first class honours Bachelor of Science in Applied Computing from Waterford Institute of Technology and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Communications Software.

James Mernin - Operations Manager

James is one of the longest serving members of the FeedHenry team and has been Operations Manager since 2007. He holds a Masters degree in Communications Software from Waterford Institute of Technology and was responsible for the creation of the highly scalable, fault tolerant network that hosts the FeedHenry cloud platform. James has over 18 years experience in the data storage and telecoms industries and has held a number of senior positions with Adaptec, Inc. and Eurologic Systems Ltd. (now Sanmina SCI). He has also managed a number of successful Enterprise Ireland projects.
